I purchased the RE:CIPE Slowganic Adlay cleanser from Tester Korea at the same time as the Rose Petal Cleansing Oil which I reviewed here. I have heard nothing but love for the Slowganic cleanser which has taken on a bit of a cult status due to the unique marshmallow-like texture and PH of 5.5. Personally I don't trust the PH of a cleanser when the marketing department are the people responsible for the claim. Instead I tend to go by this document on the Korean Beauty subreddit which has been collated by real people. Am I saying marketers aren't real people? Damn fucking right I am and I should know; I've been in Marketing all my working life.

When I saw this cleanser was heavily discounted from the quite frankly absurd RRP of ₩40,000 on Tester Korea I decided it was high time to try it. Having only found reviews of the Lemon and Green Tea options and none for the Adlay which is aimed at dry skin (my skin type in Winter) I did what any sane person would do and immediately ordered the unknown unreviewed quantity. In hindsight that decision was more than questionable...
